2010 Helen Lempriere Travelling Art Scholarship ($60,000)

Formerly the NSW Travelling Art Scholarship, the Helen Lempriere Travelling Art Scholarship of $60,000 is offered each year by the NSW Government, with the generous support of the Helen Lempriere Bequest, managed by Perpetual.
The purpose of the Scholarship is to enable a visual artist at the beginning of their career to undertake a program of professional development for a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 2 years. The key focus of the program must be international but it may also include national activities.
Activities eligible under the program include, but are not limited to:
- study, training or residencies (including short-term courses or workshops), at recognised institutions / organisations; and / or
- mentorships or internships with recognised professional artists.
The winner of the 2010 Scholarship will be announced in September 2010.
As part of the assessment process, a shortlist of up to twelve artists will be selected to participate in an exhibition to be held at Artspace Visual Arts Centre in September 2010.
